Shopping Finds: Amy's 3 Favorite Things Of The Week!

I have not been paid to recommend any of these products! Here are three things I'm loving this week! Let's get started...

#1: MUSELY, The Spot Cream

I have dealt with melasma (dark spots on my face) since I switched birth control pills in 2007. It was advertised as a BC pill that would also help your complexion- it had the opposite effect on my skin.

Since then, I've tried everything to keep the spots away. Hydroquinone, Obaji, BBL, Halo laser and the last treatment I did really knocked it out- the Fraxel Dual Laser.

The thing about melasma and sunspots is...they come back. I wear all the sunscreen and hats. It never fails, after a summer season, the pigmentation is back. This year, I tried Musely for the first time. It's an online prescription product. Guess what? It worked. I made it through this entire summer melasma free!! For the first time in a few years, I'm not going to need a laser treatment.

How's that for a good product? I will say this- the change doesn't happen overnight and you have to be diligent about using it- but it works!!

#2: The 'Free People One Of The Girls Henley'

These are my go to shirts! I'm a little sheepish to admit the photo below does not include all the henley colors I own : ) Daily wear for me. They're feminine, you can dress them up or dress them down. Great for layering or on their own with big earrings or layered necklaces.

I don't dry mine because they do run a little small. I'm slim, 5' 10" and wear a medium. They're not cheap at $40 a pop but with all the wear I get out of them- well worth it.

#3: Lunds and Byerlys Signature Pork Seasoning

Ok, this stuff is AMAZING. You want a weeknight meal that's easy but tastes like you spent all day in the kitchen? Make this dry rub rib recipe. I especially love making it for dinner parties. I like to attend my own gatherings and don't want to be stuck in the kitchen. You can make these ahead of time and throw them in the oven when your guests arrive so you can enjoy cocktails with your friends! Here's the ridiculously simple recipe...

1 pack Baby Back Pork Ribs (cut along the bone into into individual rib pieces)

1/4 cup L&B's Signature Pork Seasoning

1/4 cornstarch

Directions: Place cut ribs into a big bowl. Add pork seasoning on top, evenly coat, using clean hands to mix. Slowly add cornstarch and hand stir again. Place the ribs on a foil lined cookie sheet so they're not touching.

Preheat over to 425. Bake for 30 minutes. My recommendation, if you want them nice and crispy, flip the ribs over before you turn the oven down to 300 degrees and cook for another 45 minutes. That's it. Done and done. Thank me later : )
