Dierks Bentley recruited fellow singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde to release the latest collaboration from his soon-to-release 10th studio album on Friday morning (February 3). Bentley and McBryde performed “Cowboy Boots” as they took the stage at Robert’s Western World, one of many staple honky tonks on the iconic Lower Broadway in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Bentley’s newest music comes as he marks two decades into his career as an award-winning singer-songwriter. He teamed up with Casey Brown, Jordan Minton and Hunter Phelps to bring the “sharply-written new track” to life, per a press release issued Friday. Bentley added on his social media channels that “over the last 20 years, my [Cowboy Boots] have carried me through the gravel, the gold and everything in between. Had to use a little duct tape at times, but we’ve come a long way!”

“When I first really fell in love with Country music, Jim Beam and cowboy boots came along for the ride. I’ve had a few (pairs) of boots over the years, many requiring duct tape at times. But, they’ve been my consistent and steady companion through this crazy ride,” Bentley said in a statement. “Not only does Ashley have one of the best voices in Country music, she also always rocked a pair of boots when we were on tour together last year. I wanted someone that I could authentically sing this song with, and I didn’t have to look any further than stage left. She’s the real deal.”

“Cowboy Boots” comes at the heels of “Same Ol’ Me,” “High Note” (a “bluegrass super jam,” featuring Billy StringsCharlie WorshamJerry Douglas on dobro, Sam Bush on mandolin and guitar star Bryan Sutton), and “Gold.” Each one is set to appear on Bentley’s 14-track album, Gravel & Gold, which is set to make its long-awaited debut on February 24.
