Save your money on the roses, and pick her up in your old Bronco instead of riding in on a white horse… Kelsea Ballerini prefers when you β€œgive me that typical, simple love.”

It’s the little things.

Ballerini debuted her third song from her highly-anticipated fourth studio album on Friday (August 5). The latest track stays true to the β€œvery warm, very breezy-feeling, very settled” tone tone of the album that Ballerini promised when she shared the project’s first single, β€œHEARTFIRST.” Ballerini called her latest song "my little 90s inspired windows down giddy song,” on Instagram as she marked the release of β€œThe Little Things.”

β€œThe Little Things” is also giving fans the impression of β€˜90s female country, which Ballerini said on TikTok last month was a big inspiration while making her soon-to-release album, Subject to Change. When she first started teasing the song earlier this week, some TikTok commenters drew comparisons to country music icons Trisha Yearwood and Shania Twain.

Ballerini subtly nodded to the song when she shared a series of photos on Instagram as a tribute to β€œthe little things,” which included a behind-the-scenes shot ofΒ the β€œHEARTFIRST” music video, a clip of her dog (Dibs) eyeing a bunny in the yard, footage of a crowd singing every word to β€œLove Is A Cowboy” (which was the second song to release from Subject to Change), and more. Ballerini sings on her newest song that β€œthe basics” are β€œbigger than they seem.”

Subject to Change is due on September 23. Listen to β€œThe Little Things” here:
